Welcome to the Hellenic Global Media .
It is my pleasure to welcome you to our international platform dedicated to journalism, media, culture, education, and global collaboration.
My name is Dimitrios Kannavos, and throughout my professional journey I have remained committed to the principles of responsible journalism, public service, humanitarian action, and international cooperation. Since 2007, I have been actively involved in volunteer initiatives, believing that journalism is far more than a profession—it is a mission that carries responsibility toward society, truth, and humanity.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving within respected journalistic institutions and organizations, contributing to the promotion of professional ethics, media integrity, and international collaboration. I currently serve as a Member of the Audit Committee of the European Association of Journalists – Hellenic Section and as a Founding Member of the International Union of Cretan Journalists and Mass Media.
In 2012, together with Dimitrios Christodoulopoulos, I co-founded Hellenic Media Group, an independent media and communication network that has developed an international presence through quality journalism, cultural initiatives, and strategic collaborations. Driven by the same vision, I later established the Hellenic Los Angeles Media Network, creating a bridge between Greece and the United States through media, culture, and international partnerships.
The Hellenic Global Media was created with a clear purpose: to connect people, cultures, institutions, media professionals, artists, and communities through meaningful communication and collaborative action. Our organization promotes journalism, documentary production, cultural initiatives, conferences, educational programs, international partnerships, and projects that contribute positively to society.
Throughout my career, I have been honored to receive several distinctions and international awards recognizing contributions to journalism, volunteerism, leadership, culture, and media development. While these recognitions are deeply appreciated, they serve primarily as motivation to continue working with dedication, professionalism, and integrity.
Today, our mission remains focused on building bridges between cultures, encouraging constructive dialogue, supporting creative expression, and promoting values that strengthen understanding and cooperation among people around the world.
